 Be the Best you Can Be Dimitri couldn't stand to be on the ship for much longer. The men didn't smell good from lack of bathing, and most of them were drunk most of the time. There was always rum on the ship, but he preferred his bourbon. He preferred to go into the small port towns and get a drink there. He could go to a tavern and he could look at the ladies there. He never took them to bed, but he had thought about it before.
Today was different. He had tired of going into the towns and he wanted to do something different. He decided to go into the forest. He walked through the greenery, and he was getting annoyed that his sword was getting caught in the little ferns that littered the path. He knew of the existence of faeries and other nevercreatures, but secretly he didn't hate them. He would never let Hook know that, but maybe one day when he was a leader he would let them go do their business.

Tiger Lilly was having a rough day. Her father had found out about her early morning ventures and started leaving men at the front of her door to keep her from sneaking away. This wouldn't stop her of course, she had plenty other ways of escaping the village life, it was just annoying that her father would not let her live her life the way she wanted. The one thing she hated most about neverland was that no matter how old she really was he would always see her as an adolecent.
She had managed to sneak away by telling her father she was going hunting. He couldn't say no to her for that. After a while of walking through the forest with her bow she grew bored and climbed into the tree branches.
It was when she was relaxing on a branch that she spotted a pirate heading down one of the paths. Her first reaction was to stay quiet so she wouldn't been seen but she couldn't help but laugh at the trouble he was having getting trough the thick path, "you would have better luck with your travels if you would lose the sword." She called down to him. She felt safe up in the tree.

Be the Best you Can Be Dimitri heard a voice and he stopped. He knew it came from above him and he put his hand on the hilt of his sword and he turned around to look for him. He knew the voice came from somewhere and he scanned for it. He found the source of the voice and he saw it came from a girl sitting in a tree branch above the ground. "You young lady should know a pirate never leaves without his sword."
He wondered if this girl was a lost girl or an indian, but guessing from her clothes he would guess she was an indian. He knew that guessing from that would be a good way to get him in trouble, but he was just out trying to get away from his duties. "How about you come down from there and we can talk like normal people." He suggested to her. He doubted she would, but asking would maybe get him places.

Tiger Lilly laughed again when he called her young lady. It sounded like something her father would say, "young lady? I could very possibly be old enough to be your great great grandmother. Young lady is not a term I would use."
He asked her to come down from the tree and she thought about it for a moment. That was definantly not going to happen unless she knew he would not cause her harm. "I think it would be best if I remained in the tree. You are a pirate, so what would stop you from hurting me as soon as I got down there? Last time I checked the pirates and Indians were not on speaking terms...besides, the veiw is very nice up here." She said with a grin.
She was pretty sure there was nothing he could do to get her to come down from the tree right now, "what is your name pirate? And why have you strayed so far from your ship?" it was rare to see a pirate alone and so far from the ship. It made her wonder what he was up to. At least he wasn't pointing the sword at her.

Be the Best you Can Be Dimitri chuckled when she said she could possibly be old enough to be her great great grandmother. "Yeah, but you still appear younger than me, so that's how you got greeted like that." He said in reply to her. He knew that she didn't feel safe around him, and he understood that, but he wasn't going to hurt her.
When she said that she didn't want to come down, and pirates weren't on speaking terms he took his hand off his blade and he put them up in the air. "I promise I won't hurt you." He said to her. He hoped she believed him, but he doubted it because that was the way most people were in Neverland.
When she asked him for his name he smirked up at her. "Dimitri, What's your name little Indian." He asked her. He thought it only polite to exchange names. He just hoped that she wouldn't attack him.

Tiger lilly bit her lip when he promised he wouldn’t hurt her. Pirates were tricksters most of the time, and she had been sweet talked by a few of them and ended up being held captive to catch Peter. So why should she trust this one. “Well Dimitri, my name is Tiger Lilly. You can call me Lilly.” She wasn’t sure if her name was known to all of the pirates. Being the chiefs daughter did it’s down falls. Right now it felt like that’s all it was, nothing but trouble. What good came of it?
She rolled her eyes when he called her a little Indian. “I am not that little…” He didn’t seem like he was going to cause he any problems. If he really wanted to cause trouble he probably would have found a way to force her down. “You are really not going to hurt me? That is not very pirate like. Are you sure you are really a pirate?” She asked as she stood up on the branch she had been sitting on. “I suppose I could come down, but if I do and you try anything I wi…” Before she could finish her sentence she lost her footing and fell toward the ground. Be the Best you Can Be Dimitri smirked as she told him her name. "Well Lilly that is a beautiful name." He told her. He knew it looked like he was flirting, and she wasn't bad looking, but Hook would have his head if he hooked up with a local. He would just keep this conversation cordial, and he wouldn't let on that he secretly hated being a pirate and wanted to be something else, but he couldn't for fear of losing his head. He knew the risks, and he wouldn't take them without being absolutely sure that he could leave.
He chuckled when she said she wasn't little. He almost replied, but he heard her next comment. "Yes I'm a pirate, but I'm not about to hurt you. I just want to talk, is that so bad? He asked her. He knew that being a pirate and not wanting to harm a native would make him seem like the odd one out. She started to ask if he would harm her if she came down, but she began to fall, and he rushed forward to catch her. He was sure to catch her in his arms and he looked down at her. "Now that wasn't very graceful." He teased her with a smirk.

Lilly was sure that she was going to hit the ground and be hurt but instead she ended up in his arms. She couldn’t have been more embarrassed. “Not my proudest moment I will admit, but lucky for me that you are a good catcher.” She said as she tried to keep her face from blushing, not just because she had fallen but because she was in the arms of a very good looking pirate. How going she think that of a pirate? Her father would kill her for even thinking something like that. Then again maybe he wouldn’t mind if he knew that the pirate had actually helped her…no he would probably still kill her for it.
At least she knew that she could believe him now. He wasn’t going to hurt her. If he had wanted to hurt her he wouldn’t have cared if she hit the ground and got hurt. It was very strange to meet a pirate who acted like a normal person and not a murderous monster. “Thank you…for catching me, You can put me down now.” She couldn't think straight while he was holding her like that. Be the Best you Can Be Dimitri could tell that when he caught her she was surprised. She hadn't expected him to catch her. He wasn't a horrible person, and he definitely didn't expect her to look at him like that. He knew he was good looking and he didn't let it go to his head. There were other good looking pirates, and he knew they were there to lure in the female nevercreatures.
He could see the understanding in her eyes and he was glad that he saw it there. When he said he could put her down now he chuckled. "Yeah, sure." he set her down on her feet and he took a step back to give her some room. He wasn't going to deny that she was a good looking person, but he knew that he could never be with this girl because she didn't hold any feelings for him. He would wait for the girl to steal his heart at first glance. That would be the one he would be with forever.

Tiger Lilly felt better once her feet were firmly planted on the ground. She was still confused as to why he wasn’t trying to hurt her or throwing his sword around like a mad man. “You must not be a very good pirate; does your captain know that you are this way?” She figured it was probably something that he kept a secret. The Captain would not be very happy to know that a pirate helped a neverland native. “I am sorry if I seemed stubborn before when it came to trusting you, but I am sure you can understand why.”
She leaned against the tree she had fallen out of and watched him careful. The last time she had met a pirate she got captured and a few of her friends had gotten hurt, so she still wasn’t sure about trusting him completely. At least she knew that for now she didn’t have to worry about him hurting her. “You never did tell me why you were not on your ship. What brings you to the forest?” She wanted to know more about him now that she knew he wasn’t going to hurt him, but she knew she didn’t have very long till someone came to look for her and take her back to the village.

Be the Best you Can Be Dimitri could tell when she was feeling better. When she said that he wasn't a very good pirate he smiled slightly. "I'm skilled like any normal pirate, but no I don't care for the captain's hate of everyone." He said to her. He knew that his captain would hang him if he heard that, but Dimitri didn't really care. He was just glad to be off of the ship.
When she asked him why he strayed so far from the ship he put his hand to the back of his head. "Have you ever smelled thirty men who haven't showered in a month?" He asked her. He hated the smell, and he was just glad to get some fresh air. He leaned against a tree near him and crossed his arms for comfort. He knew that she didn't trust him, but he was willing to get the trust out of her. "What brings you into the forest Lilly?" He asked her. He knew turning the question around on her was a poor mood, but he was wondering what she was doing out here.

Lilly laughed when he asked her about the smelly pirates, “Yes actually, I have been on the ship before so I guess I cannot blame you from wanting to get away from that...I just thought that all pirates liked to smell that way.” It was interesting to hear a pirate make fun of pirates. It was even more interesting to hear him say that he didn’t care for what the captain thought. “So if you really feel that way then why exactly are you a pirate?” It seemed like the best question for the situation since he seemed to be the complete opposite of what a pirate should be.
She grinned a bit when he asked her why she was in the forest, “Well I am an Indian, and we are most at home in the forest.” She laughed quietly, “But to tell you the truth I am not allowed to be out here. My father thinks it is too dangerous…but I love it out here. The village is so dull and busy; the most exciting thing you get to do there is make clothes or cook.” There was nothing fun waiting for her in the villiage, “Out here is where all the adventure and excitement is, so why wouldn’t I want to be out here?” She turned her head as she heard someone heading their way. Hopefully it wasn't who she thought it was. She wasn't ready to go back to the Villiage. "Is there someone out here with you?

Be the Best you Can Be Dimitri smirked at what she said about all pirates liking the smell. "It's not something that you enjoy, but something you get used to." He told her. He knew that some liked it and called it the smell of camaraderie, but he couldn't stand it. He was glad to get to port and bathe the smell of thirty men off of him. When she asked him about being a pirate he shrugged. He didn't really have any better answer. "Captain Hook came to me and offered me a place where I would never grow up. I didn't really want to get any older, so I came here with him. In the beginning I accepted his hatred, but after a while I tired of it. I haven't left yet for fear of my head." He explained.
When she said that the forest was more interesting he understood why. There were more beings in the forest than anywhere. It was more like a middle ground for them. They could all be equals here. "Well then I can understand why you wish to leave," He told her. He knew that ship life wasn't too fun either, with all of the swabbing the deck and other ship maintenance. When she asked if he was alone he shook his head and looked about for a source of the noise. "No, most of the shipmates just leave me alone, and I go where I please." He told her. He wondered who was coming around the path.

Lilly understood not wanting to grow old, but she didn’t think that being young forever was a good thing; at least it wasn’t in her situation. She was forever a teenager, and always treated like a child. What fun was there in that? When he said he was alone she sighed, “then that means my time with you must be cut short. Because I am sure that my father has sent someone to fetch me.”
Aiyanna was a little annoyed that Tiger Lilly had once again found a way to sneak out of the villiage. After all the times she had been hurt and lectured you would think that the girl would learn her lesson. It wasn’t safe out in the forest. She heard Lilly’s voice up ahead and started heading in that direction. “Tiger Lilly, the chief says it’s time for you to come home.” She called out as she walked up the path.
When Lilly finally came into view Aiyanna’s heart stopped. Lilly’s was talking to a pirate, had she not had enough trouble already? “What are you doing? Are you crazy?” She said as she hurried over to Tiger lilly, she grabbed her arm and pulled the girl behind her. “What were you doing to her?” She demanded as she glared at the pirate in front of her.
Lilly laughed as Aiyanna pulled her away from Dimitri. She could understand why she was worried but she was way to over protective, “I am fine Aiyanna, he wasn’t hurting me.” (OCC:I went ahead posted with both of them in the lilly account but will switch to Aiyanna’s when it’s just him and her) |

He knew how strict the chief was, and he understood that she would be watched since he was the chief and all. "Well, I'm sorry to hear that. I hope your time in the forest was fun while it lasted." He told her with a smirk.
He heard her friend calling for her and he heard that it was a woman coming down the path. When she finally made it through the bushes he saw that she was a slim woman, and she had long brown hair. Her eyes were a brown, that seemed like it could stare into one's soul. When she spotted him he saw fear in her eyes, and she was right to keep it there, but he wasn't going to hurt her. She pushed Lilly behind her and he held up his hands in defense. "I wasn't going to hurt her. We were just talking." He said to her hoping that she understood. He would hate to have her hate him right off the bat, but he didn't blame her for being afraid of him since he was a pirate, and his kind did tend to take the nevercreatures and torture them.
