Max sighed as he looked out at the water, the boat had been terribly busy and loud this morning so he decided to head out to land to maybe get some peace and quiet. It was important to him to have a quiet environment right now so he could focus on his sword play. He had to practice to make sure that he would be best. Nothing else mattered to him right now.
Once he was sure he was alone he pulled out his sword and started his normal practice routine. He preferred to practice alone, practicing with a partner only made it difficult. He didn’t need to deal with any sore losers right now. It was sad to see men get angry when they couldn’t win. Then again he would probably be the same way if it were him.
While he was practicing he heard movement behind him. He wasn’t worried about being attacked so he took his time putting up his sword before saying. “Sneaking up behind me is not a very smart thing to do you know, you could get a nasty cut doing something like that.” He said as he turned to face him

Rust was a boy who would do anything to sneak off the ship and be on dry land so with a lot of business for a big inspection from the captain coming up it was easy to slip off. Just as he was grabbing his things he saw max another fairly young pirate. Who was the complacently the opposite of Rusty who loved to skive everything Max wanted to be the next hook.
Rust thought he would follow him be father fun. Max needed to lighten up most of the time. By the time Rust had got his things together he had lost Max. He slipped off the ship and wondered around for a little while. Max was hard to track or follow. Rusty got annoyed at himself and opened his cigarette packet and saw he only had two left he slipped one into his mouth and lit it up. He then heard maxes voice had he stumbled across him by accident. He laughed "désolé, did not mean to sneak up on you mate, just lost track of you" He hoped that it did not sound wired. He took another drag of his cigaret and smiled as he blew the suck out. He thought about it and it would not be bad if Max was the next Hook if he got on the right side of him he could skive of more work.

Max laughed and shook his head, He had never spoken with Rusty much but that was because Max and him were so opposite. But that didn’t mean they couldn’t get along. He knew that Rusty was pretty good with a gun so that was something. Max was just not very good and the whole being buddies thing. Most tried to avoid him out of jealously or just because they didn’t like him. Then again that just might be him getting a bog ego.
“It’s alright, I just didn’t think I would be followed, but I should have known someone else would want to get away from all that noise.” The captain’s inspections always made everything so busy. Sure Max wanted to be captain and should care about the inspection, but there were better things he could do with his time. “So what made you decide to jump ship and follow me around? Nothing better to do? Or are you just trying to suck up for when I become captain?” He asked as he sat down on a nearby log to rest for a bit. He was only joking around of course but did know that he would be captain someday. He was counting on it.

Rust gave an awkward laugh after max said what he said, should he tell him what he was thinking of bluff his way out of it. "Naarr i don't like doing work so any chance to walk the plank i tack it. " He laughed and messed up his hair. He took another drag of his cigarette and walked out more closer to max but still not in his personal space.
He knew how stricked max was with all the captain thing but why was he not on the ship brown noising the captain. Rusty did not understand most of the time but then he did not like been a pirate most of the time. All he wished for is to go back to France in the mainland. Being the age he is now would be fun for a while but he would like to be a dad one day and here he could not see that happening. Neverland is great but not a place to grow up ironic really. He laughed. "So why are you here sweating and been monging for?" He asked tacking another drag of his cigarette and blowing it out.

“I can understand not wanting to do any work, sometimes it is a real pain doing with the captain says. But it is the life of a pirate I suppose.” Max knew that it looked weird for the guy who wanted to be captain skipping out of an inspection but he had better things to do then to watch the crew worry. He knew that he had done enough to be safe from any punishment. “I came out here to practice in a place where I wouldn’t have to worry about being bothered by a few of the others. Some of them are pretty mad at me for beating them in a fight. And even though I like to follow the rules it is nice to get out and get away from the noise” He shrugged and looked out at the water.
He could still see the ship out in the distance. The inspection would be going on all day so maybe he would go back later and see if he could rack up some points with the captain. For now he just didn’t feel like it. “How about you join me for a little hike? I want to check out a new area of the woods to see if I can find the flying troublemaker.”
