As expected Krista was supposed to be practicing her skills at sowing seeds and helping them to grow up as usual she was distracted by some rustling behind the dense bronze and red foliage of some shrubbery. She giggled as she flitted off towards the noise.
“Now Krista I want you to cup your hands like this,” Margaret said cupping her hands over the spot of dirt where Krista had planted a seed, “And help it grow.” She looked to the spot where the younger fairy had been and found Krista had gone, “Krista? Krista?!” Margaret sighed.
Krista was off, zooming after a dragon fly. It’s bright green and blue neon body was flashy against the rich warm plums, browns and burgundy’s of the Autumn Forest. She loved to fly, more than anything, except maybe plants and trees. She looped around another tree and came to rest on a large branch with mushrooms sprouting on top of it. She sat on top of one of the larger mushroom and let her legs dangle over the side. From here she could see nearly all the way across the island. It was beautiful.
((ooc: Anyone? The more the merrier.))

IT'S HARD TO BE THE OUTSIDER LOOKING THROUGH THE GLASS WHEN EVERYONE IS PRAISING SOMEBODY ELSE.
The list had been checked, and double check and triple checked. And just for good measure it had then been checked again. Still, the piece of paper in Trinity's hand didn't change in content. Everything on the list had been checked off for the day, and that left the Helper Fairy with nothing to do. What could a helper talent fairy do if they didn't help? Geez Trin, no wonder the others think you're useless...
he sighed. The blonde-haired young fairy was currently perched upon a mushroom somewhere in the Autumn area's, since it was his favourite season. With crossed legs he had a notepad resting against his lap, nibbling on the end of his pencil and scrunching up his blue eyes as he tried to think. His thought were interrupted however when another fairy suddenly came crashing into the clearing, rushing past with the speed of a lightning bolt to sit on an adjacent mushroom. Trinity jumped up half in fright and half in concern, wondering if the girl had perhaps hurt herself in any way from her speed. Creeping over too her, he plastered on a friendly smile. "You alright there miss? You were certainly in a hurry!" he exclaimed, casting a sideways melancholy glance at his soiled notebook now laying on the dirt floor where it had landed. Well at least he didn't have to worry about the list now. -----[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] Lyrics to: Just A Hufflepuff, by Oliver Boyd And The Remembralls. Turning to the voice that broke into her reverie as she fantasized about the adventures she might take on the pirate ship or find in the Cannonball Cove, or even at the Mermaid Lagoon, her eyes widened as she saw the towheaded fairy with the familiar expression of concern on his face. “Trin!” she launched herself at him and wrapped her arms around him in a big friendly hug.
Then glancing down Krista noticed his notebook. It was a tiny speck against the leaves below. “Oh, sorry about that,” she apologized, “Be right back,” and with that she zipped off again and shot down to the ground. The gold flutter of her wings looked like an electric beam of sunlight. She returned in a matter of minutes with his notebook now covered in dirt. “Heh, sorry,” she smiled at him again holding out his now ruined notebook. She then sat on the mushroom adjacent from him once more. “Are you done with your work?” she didn’t wait for an answer and simply continued to talk, “Of course you are,” she waved her hands at him as if it were absurd to think otherwise. “We should go on an adventure!” her eyes lit up at the idea. She stood up and put her hands on her hips, “Yes, let’s go on adventure,” she strutted down the branch past him and then back up again as she spoke, “We could fight pirates, or visit the mermaids, or find buried treasure in the caves,” she suggested. “What say you?” she said in her best pirate voice turning her attention back to Trin with a wide grin on her face.

IT'S HARD TO BE THE OUTSIDER LOOKING THROUGH THE GLASS WHEN EVERYONE IS PRAISING SOMEBODY ELSE.
Trinity was taken by surprise as the speedy young lady suddenly swept him off his feet in a bone-crushing hug. His grey-blue eyes widened with realisation as he got a real look at who it was. "H- hey, Krista! Dont startle me like that!"
he choked out, lightly returning the embrace of his best friend. Of course, in retrospect he should have realised it was her. What other fairy regularly skipped work and took off at such speech? Maybe she should have been a Fast-Flying Fairy instead he joked internally. Not a few moment after they had finished hugging, then the young Helper blinked to find his friend now at the bottom of the tree trunk, picking up his notes. Although he appreciated the gesture, he couldn't help the grimace when he took the book back from her, trying in vain to brush off it's soiled pages. "Uhhh... thanks?" he offered in response, but the raven-haired garden fairy seemed not to notice or be listening too him, already starting another conversation. “Are you done with your work?”"Well, actually I- " "Of course you are, we should go on an adventure!”Trin sighed loudly, rolling his eyes and sitting back down again. There was no changing Krista, always ready to tackle some dangerous new dream or chase down a reckless thought. The Helper knew that once she started talking about adventures, there would be no stopping her. And as usual he would have no choice but to be dragged along for the ride. When at least she'd finished talking, he gave a smile and answered "I say; You're crazy! In the nicest possible way." he laughed good-naturedly. -----[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] Lyrics to: Just A Hufflepuff, by Oliver Boyd And The Remembralls. ((ooc: haha okay, so I thought it was a word count that had to be under 200 words, not actually 200 words or over 200 words. Wow, blonde moment, sorry. Sometimes I really think I should have been blonde.))
As she spoke Krista began to flutter into the air. Her gold wings touched softly together matching the rhythm of her movements as she acted out a pirate’s fight jabbing and lunging with an imaginary sword while she explained what an adventure it would be.
When she was finally finished spouting off numerous ideas, most of them very reckless, she landed gracefully on the branch poised on the balls of her feet. She stepped gently over the moss wending its way around the tree branch. Even if she wasn’t the most talented garden fairy she had great respect for her craft and the plants and fungi she tried to help nourish.
She sat cross-legged on the mushroom facing Trin and threw her head back in laughter at his remark. “Yes but you still join me on my little adventures, so who’s crazy now,” she folded her arms across her chest and smirked widely over at him. “You know you’re going to come with me Trin,” she added confidently, her arms relaxed by her sides, “So what suits you’re fancy?” she asked of the options she had given.

IT'S HARD TO BE THE OUTSIDER LOOKING THROUGH THE GLASS WHEN EVERYONE IS PRAISING SOMEBODY ELSE.
The Helper Talent fairy let his slate blue eyes wander around him, taking in the pretty leaves as they fell in an array of colours from the tree. Letting out a sigh, he wondered for perhaps the billionth time, why he let Krista talk him into such dangerous nonsense. To this day he still went with her for everything, even against his better judgement. Trinity had always been known as a good guy, following the rules and doing things by the book. Krista however was the exact opposite, spunky and rebellious to the core. How the two of them ended up being the best of friends was a mystery.
Still, it was that very reason why he didn't just turn away and go find something else to work on. It was that exact fact which stopped him from shaking his head or giving her a negative response. Krista was, and always had been, his best friend. And Trinity just knew he would feel awful if he let her down or dissapointed her in any way, no matter how crazy her plans were. Trin would do anything for the hot-headed young Garden Fairy, even if he doubted she would do the same for him.
So he gave her a brilliant smile and stood up from his seat on the mushroom, taking her hand. "Whichever adventure you want to go one first."
he answered simply with that same impish smile "I'll be happy to accompany you, whatever your choice. As always.". Trinity knew that Krista often teased him for how formal and polite he was, but he wasn't about to change who he was, even for his best friend. Still, he also knew that she appreciated his company, even if Krita wouldn't admit that. -----[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] Lyrics to: Just A Hufflepuff, by Oliver Boyd And The Remembralls. Krista’s brown eyes danced with laughter. She really enjoyed torturing Trinity’s delicate polite demeanor with her ideas of adventure usually involving some sort of recklessness. She watched for a moment as the purple, rust, brown and orange spice colored leaves dropped from their branches and fluttered to the ground far below. Krista and Trinity were complete opposites, even in appearance, but they were the best of friends. Krista was a very selfish creature, more so out of laziness than anything else. If Trinity was in real trouble however she would do everything in her power to help him.
It was then that she turned her attention back to Trinity whose expression was beaming. She twisted her body around so that she sat cross-legged on the mushroom facing him. As he stood up, she followed suit with a vigor that could only be matched by someone with her enthusiasm. A wide grin slowly appeared on her features. Her eyes began to dance again this time with the very distinct look that told anyone who knew her that she had an idea. Usually the other fairy’s reactions were ‘oh no, I know that look, you’ve got an idea,’ because in general her ideas ended in chaos and general mayhem of some manner.
Krista stepped off the mushroom with a sense of purpose, “Good then, let’s go to Cannonball Cove and see if Captain Hook is docked there,” she smiled at him, “Let’s trick the pirates into thinking there is a ghost on board,” she suggested. She zipped into the air with the voracity of a hummingbird and paused in front of the branch where Trinity stood, “Well come on,” she encouraged.

IT'S HARD TO BE THE OUTSIDER LOOKING THROUGH THE GLASS WHEN EVERYONE IS PRAISING SOMEBODY ELSE.
"Well come on..."
The young helper fairy sighed, knowing that he didn't really have much of a choice. He had agreed to this. Well, sort of. As he stood up, his thickly-rimmed glasses slid down his nose a little, and he had to hastily push them back up his face, blushing deeply in embarrassment as he glanced at his friend. He knew Krista would laugh. He wondered why he allowed himself to have a friend who was so mean to him, but of course knew the answer. Krista, as selfish and reckless as she might be, was the only one to ever really notice him. The only one he could count on who would stop and say "Hi" now and then.
Lifting his wings, he gave them a test flutter. Once, twice. Before rising into the air at a steady pace, following her. He had never been the best flyer in pixie hollow, but thankfully being a helper fair, most of his work was easy enough to do one the safety of the ground, without the need for wings. When at last he reached the branch where Krista was waiting, he gave a her a shy and nervous smile "Are you sure I can't change you're mind?"
he asked though he knew the fairy had made up her mind a while ago now "We can always just stay here... or you could to back to work?" he suggested with a chuckle. -----[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] Lyrics to: Just A Hufflepuff, by Oliver Boyd And The Remembralls. Note: We should probably ask Abbey to move this to the autumn area, since that's where it's set
